He won the International Media Tie-In Writer's SCRIBE Award for his novel Primeval: Shadow of the Jaguar, and along with Kevin J Anderson he won the Lifeboat Foundation's inaugural Lifeboat to the Stars Award for his novel Tau Ceti.
Writing as Matt Langley, he was a finalist for the People's Book Prize in the UK with his novel Black Flag.
He has been published by St Martins, Penguin, Titan, Constable Crime, Severn House and more, and has written extensively for the high profile properties Star Wars, Warhammer, Dr Who, Stargate and Torchwood.
